7 reasons Yachtlife Greece will blow your mind

By on August 5, 2017

What is this whole YachtLife hype and why is it so amazing? Suddenly everyone seems to obsessed with Yachtlife, a week where you sail along the coastline of the most beautiful countries such as Croatia and Greece but also Nicaragua and other places in the Caribbean. Since I fell in love with Santorini earlier this year, I wanted to explore more of the Greek islands. Hence, I decided to join Yachtlife Greece and this is why it blew my mind!

1. You visit a new island every day

With over 6000 island and islets scattered around Greece there is enough to choose from. Our yacht left every morning and sailed to the next destination while we were asleep. It was amazing. I mean, can you imagine going to a beach club during the night, get back to the yacht before sunrise, go to sleep and wake up at another island the next day?

2. You can completely reset your mind

We all sometimes need a holiday to reset our mind. There is so much stress at home and always something to do. Sailing around to visit the most beautiful towns on the islands makes you forget everything. We actually even had a private chef on board and a bartender preparing cocktails whenever you want. So hey, what’s there to worry about?

3. Unlimitless swimming in the crystal clear Aegean sea

Get the chance to swim at private bays and jump into the clear blue sea as often as you want. Being on a yacht for a full week gives you endless swimming opportunities…

4. See the world's most beautiful sunsets

We all know the best sunsets are seen over the ocean. Watch the famous Santorini sunset or just stay on the yacht and admire the most beautiful sunsets from the deck. Every sunset is a new highlight of your trip.

5. Explore islands with no other tourists

Instead of being stuck to the routes of commercial ferry lines full of tourists you get the chance to explore islands off the beaten track. How about meeting the local Greek people instead of bumping into herds of tourists?

6. Visit some of the best night spots Greece has to offer

The Greek islands are, next to being absolutely stunning and full of culture, known for its amazing nightlife. From sipping cocktails at the most beautiful sunset bar in Ios to dancing the night away at Mykonos and wine tastings at Santorini, there is something for everyone.

7. Make friends for a lifetime

You’re on a yacht with amazing people that want to explore Greece together with you. Everyone is in the best years of their life on a holiday they will never forget. Whether you travel solo, as a couple or as friends… make sure to be part of it!

Sounds fun?! I did my Yachtlife Greece trip with Life Before Work Travel. This trip does involve a lot of partying – as most of the yachtweeks do. For eight days you pay between 1600-1800 USD but keep an eye on their website to get a good deal. Oh and use the “MyTravelTricks” promo code to get discount!

Wow! I have been dreaming off going on a cruise for ever so long but it has always been out of my budget which is a big bummer. I’m going to keep an eye out for sales though like you suggested. Fingers crossed!
